It has been said that the only constant in life is change, and thus began our never-ending struggle to prevent or accept it. I suppose working in the ever-evolving world of fashion has made it a little easier for me to accept. On countless occasions I have marveled at how dramatically a new outfit or a fresh hairstyle can alter a woman’s appearance and skyrocket her level of confidence.
With that said, I have also learned that there is a homegrown comfort in classic elements that remain constant. It’s a little like that love-worn hoodie stashed in the back of the closet that would probably horrify the makeover gurus of the reality TV world but makes the perfect companion on the rainiest of days.
Armed with this nostalgic style philosophy that some would deem reckless, I began flipping through the style reports only to discover that it was time to pay homage to an old favorite. A little more sophisticated than the hoodie, but a classic nonetheless. And might I add wearable?
